Washer Won't Drain Water

Washing machine completes cycle but water remains in drum

Fix Steps:
1
Check drain hose for kinks or clogs
2
Ensure drain hose height is between 65cm-100cm above floor
3
Clean drain pump filter (usually at front bottom panel)
4
Remove any debris, coins, or small items from filter
5
Inspect drain hose connection at standpipe or sink
6
Run Rinse+Spin cycle to test drainage
7
Check for error codes on display panel
8
Verify drain hose is not inserted too far into standpipe (max 15cm)
9
Test by blowing through drain hose to check for blockages
10
If drain pump makes no noise, it may be faulty and need replacement
Preventive Tip

Empty pockets before washing. Clean pump filter monthly. Don't overload washer. Use correct detergent amount.

It's usually behind a small panel at the front bottom of the machine. Open the panel, place towels underneath (water will come out), then unscrew the filter counterclockwise. Clean and reinstall.

The drain hose end should be 65-100cm (26-39 inches) above the floor. Too low causes siphoning, too high prevents proper drainage. Never insert more than 15cm into the standpipe.

NO! Never use chemical drain cleaners - they can damage rubber seals and plastic components. Use hot water and vinegar for cleaning, or manually clear blockages.
